Tek-Tools Closes Record Second Quarter 2009

Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of IT resource management software solutions, today announced that it closed the second quarter 2009 with an increase in revenue of 45 percent over the same quarter of the previous year. Unrelenting demand on IT organizations to cost effectively manage virtualization sprawl, servers, storage, back up, applications and more fuels Tek-Tools continued growth. Existing customers driven by the need for end-to-end visibility into both virtualized and physical IT resources expanded their installations of Tek-Tools Profiler Suite accounting for 57 percent of revenue in the second quarter 2009. Simultaneously, the company added 57 percent more customers and increased new business revenue by 36 percent over the second quarter 2008. Revenue from direct sales and the channel continues to grow, 33 percent and 70 percent over Q2 2008, respectively.

• Tek-Tools was recognized as a “Challenger” in the Magic Quadrant for Storage Resource Management and SAN Management Software Report released by Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT) in June.
• Tek-Tools Profiler Suite has been validated as a “VeriStor Certified Product” by VeriStor Systems, the Southeast region’s leading enterprise data storage solution provider. Solutions validated by VeriStor demonstrate exceptional characteristics in terms of technology differentiation, company stability and customer support along with low acquisition and operating costs for a rapid return on investment.
• The company also issued two whitepapers written by renowned storage and virtualization industry analyst and founder of Storage Switzerland George Crump. “Maximizing Your Server Virtualization Requires Understanding Its Storage” explains the important effects of server virtualization on storage management. “Total Capacity Management” focuses on capacity planning in the three key areas – storage, virtualization and backup – and explains the importance of a single view of IT infrastructure for informed decision making.
