NEW YORK, NY, January 31, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Straight out of the Los Angeles Art Walk Scene, the FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery has landed in New York to set roots with a Bloomingdale's Soho collaboration. FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery's Founder & Creative Director David F. Zambrana has partnered with the iconic retailer to exhibit the irreverent series "Packing List of a Jet-setter" by Austrian artist Fawni Pschill as part of their window campaign that coincides with Bloomingdale's Soho presentation of MARC BY MARC JACOBS Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

With Fashion Week revving its engines this February 10, Bloomingdale's Soho has taken the bold step of incorporating Art & Fashion in their visual presentations for the start of Fashion Week. This collaboration between FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery & Bloomingdale's Soho is no surprise, Fashion and Art are synonymous; and where else would this marriage be consummated but at the venerable Bloomingdale's in the heart of the artist district, Soho New York.

The FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery @ Bloomingdale's Soho will also be exhibiting the work of Fashion Photographer Ron Contarsy whose fashion editorials have graced the covers of magazines from New York, Paris & Milan. Also, the work of the incomparable artist Richard Alvarez, whose preferred medium of "Paint on Glass" has garnered him many accolades and is currently at the SAATCHI Gallery in London. FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery will also be exhibiting the work of Nick Georgiou: with his chosen medium of "Cut Paper" he creates such lifelike three-dimensional facial renderings they seem to take on a life of their own. Finally, Director and Fashion Photographer Delaney Bishop whose impressive list of celebrity clientele ranges from Jessica Alba and Usher to Marilyn Manson.

FASHION is ART/ART is FASHION Gallery began as an idea by New York Stylist & Costume Designer David F. Zambrana who moved to Los Angeles and was blown away by the Downtown LA Art Walk Scene. Living in DTLA himself, in the heart of the Fashion and Art districts he witnessed little connection between both communities at this event and was compelled to create a space to showcase the close relationship between Art and Fashion; always the New Yorker, David felt that this new venture would best flourish in the Capital of Art and Fashion, his home town of New York City.

The Art Unveiling event will be held on February 10 at Bloomingdale's Soho NYC fifth floor from 6-8pm at the start of Fashion Week.

Artwork will be on display from February 10th till the 24th.
